Wedding Planning

Maybe we should get married. After all, we've been dating for nearly seven years, we bought a house together, and all of our money is commingled. We get along most of the time, we enjoy each other's company, and we're not getting any younger. Why not file one tax return instead of two? Why not share the same health insurance plan? And why not spend the rest of your life with your best friend?

James asked Audra to marry him in San Francisco on December 19, 2008. Audra cried and said yes.

There was a ring...and a mini doughnut.









Then people started asking questions about a wedding. We have very few answers right now but hope this blog will encourage us to make some plans and communicate those plans to our friends and family.

Below are the guiding principles to our wedding planning:
  1. It will be low-key.
  2. It will take place in Colorado.*
  3. It will be inexpensive.
  4. It will be fun.**
*We think. Other possible locations include Missouri, Texas, the Internet, and the moon.
**James and Audra in no way guarantee your enjoyment.

We are targeting summer 2009 for whatever we end up doing. Check back soon for an actual date if you care to know.

    Congratulations, Audra & James! We vote for the easiest location/plan for you...and we can't wait to hear YOUR WEDDING MUSIC! A "Skype" wedding sounds like fun, but if you were to "elope," Vegas isn't that far!

    Dear Audra and James,
    I am so excited for both of you. Have your wedding where it feels right for both of you (Colorado sounds good :). I believe in simple and fun. Yes I am responsible for my own fun. I think the mini donut has a special character; it seems to have a face. I love you both.

    Everyone here is very excited about a wedding in an amusement park! My sister Bo is already thinking about cool invitations with maybe a roller coaster on them--the Fuge sisters are going at full throttle thinking about great wedding stuff!
